The Biggest Mardi Gras Parade in Destin
Over 100 floats, carts, brass bands, dancers, performers and festive marchers will toss beads, treats, t-shirts, trinkets, moonpies and more to parade revelers down the mile-long Destin Harbor Boardwalk. After the parade, the party continues all throughout the evening at HarborWalk Village. Proceeds from the Mardi Gras events will provide meals for students, who when away from school, do not have access to meals, through Food For Thought Outreach, Inc.
2016 King and Queen

Destin Royalty will reign over the 8th annual Mardi Gras parade as last year’s King and Queen, Destin Area Chamber of Commerce’s CEO and President, Shane Moody and VIP Pensacola’s Suzy Hunt, pass the crown to Steve Barber & Lauren Tate Gall.
King Steve Barber
Roll out the red carpet for His Majesty, King Steve! His Majesty will ride through the parade in a New Orleans Street Car Trolley Float. His royal highness has 30 plus years experience in the public relations, branding, marketing, social media, styling, advertising, sales promotion and events, which he operates out of Steve Barber Public Relations and at Barber & Gall Promotions. King Steve is also heavily involved in the Destin community through volunteering at Alaqua Animal Refuge, Sinfonia Gulf Coast and Children’s Home Society of Florida, local non-profits in the area.
When King Steve is not serving for a noble cause or ruling over his successful business, he enjoys the royal life of traveling, music, dining on his favorite gourmet foods and spending time with his wife in Destin.

King Steve’s favorite thing about Mardi Gras…”King Cakes!”

Queen Lauren Tate Gall
